Did Jonah fail? THe importance of sharing the Gospel

Just listened to a sermon where the preacher said something like:  ‘Jonah failed – we are not called to go and tell people to repent, but to display Jesus (His forgiveness / grace / love) to world’  First off, I full want to take on board his point: that we have received grace so should desire it for and show it to others. Fear of God is not Reverence

That stance / doctrine of ‘fear means reverence’ is at least partly to blame in my opinion. At times the word translated fear means terror, not ‘just’ fear, let alone reverence. This Australia Day, I gleaned a little from some of the mainstream media across the country and world. It is quite interesting to see just how clear the agenda of each news outlet is: many owned by the same umbrella company or person.
