Longing for my true home 

Some days are worse than others, today wasn’t great.  As far as pain goes- it wasn’t as bad as many days. Health wise it was a struggle, making simple tasks seem monumental. Godly Wife Pain

When struggling through the valleys of life, take time to smell the weeds.  So blessed: after a particularly difficult night and morning, my amazing wife gently hugged me and began to pray. As she did, she wept: pouring her heart out to the Creator, her concern, love and empathy were tangible.  There was no flash from Heaven, the pain or spasms didn’t subside. I get knocked down – whinge about sickness…

Warning: personal whinge follows (I wrote it more for myself but just in case other chronic pain sufferers find it helpful… )  It’s often surprising just how demoralising small things can be on the pain management / injury recovery journey. My back is killing me – Adam Keegan

I received some bad news this week… After being told that recovery from spinal surgery would take 3 – 6 months, I have now been informed that it will be 12 months to 5 years, and the level of pain I am in now, may never decrease.  That was hard to hear, especially when I have been struggling to cope wth the pain I am in the last few weeks.
