Watching a few live interviews of people leaving Charlie Kirks’ memorial and found it mind-blowing.
Over 100,000 people, lining up, wanting to get in with limited spaces, emotions running high after an innocent friend was brutally murdered (and the political side associated with the killer cheering and antagonising)…
Not only were there no stones thrown, no fires lit, no rioting or looting or destruction of innocent people’s property or businesses, no police attacked… but there wasn’t even any PUSHING!
The tone? Somber, reverent, grief, honour, peace, worship and *forgiveness*.
NEVER tell me the two sides are the same or close with some different ideals or political positions…
Over 100,000 people worshipping Jesus openly and with heart.
Political leaders boldly proclaiming THE GOSPEL – not a political or religious agenda – the Gospel!
A grieving widow publicly forgiving someone who deserves a slow painful death!
A supposed egotistical bully, literally fathering the grieving woman publicly despite the possible ammunition the warped left may try and twist it into against him.
The exposure that the Gospel has had this week is miraculous.
The number of people hearing the Truth around the world is monumental.
The legal push-back against evil ideologies in the US is mind blowing.
There are even people who used to spew hate, used to sign up to the illogical and damaging ideas who are starting to look up the full interviews and see that the snippets and slogans are based on LIES.
And this could be the most amazing thing…
As Jesus said: “if the light you THINK you have is actually darkness, that darkness will be DEEP” [ Matt 6:23 paraphrased – emphasis added]
These people often mean well, often have a caring heart and a background or childhood that explains their bias. They often genuinely believe their inconsistent stance and illogical positions because they *want* to. The implications of Jesus being who He said He was to them, are *huge*.
It means that their ‘empathy’, their ‘tolerance’ and their ‘acceptance’ was misguided and actually helping satan to deceive people. Giving people a reason to stay away from the Truth of the Gospel, which is founded on Jesus – *the Truth*. A hard reality to face if you have publicly campaigned for ideologies directly opposed to Jesus.
But there is still hope – once He illuminates a mind, once a soul is regenerate – *everything* changes. Suddenly the most vile offender, the most passionate activist, the most confused or addicted min…can see the Truth and will start to align with His standards. Thankfully! We are all doomed & dead in sin without Him.
No matter how many attack you or pour hatred / false accusations about you, Charlie Kirk or any other Christian, pray for them, forgive them and continue to give the Truth in love.
He is the only Truth that can set people free. And carry those walking through grief, whether widowed, divorced, gender confused, depressed, addicted or other…
