Reflecting on how blessed we are this morning…
I go out to pick some roses, but they are all gone! Just yesterday there were dozens…
I go back inside and see where some of them went…
Amazing! That looked waaaay better than what I would have managed!
Next, a child comes in to entertain us as the older kids are not ready yet. And a few minutes later we are greeted to this amazing gourmet breakfast…(crepes and strawberries and chocolate and cream and maple syrup).
They have also tidied a space and scattered rose petals over the couch – look so good.
But more than the flowers and food, we are blessed by the presence and connection with our children. Despite busy lives and opportunities galore, they are happy to be with us, at home, just being.
And here is where I see God’s leading and guiding. Without Him (and huge sacrifices), this would never have come about. We would have been more successful financially, maybe the house might even be finished (!), but I wouldn’t swap it for the world.

Thank you for being willing to follow God, put Him first and cling to Him.
Thank you for all you have given up, the sacrifices and hardships.
Thank you for prioritising our marriage, our children and this family.
Thank you for your intentional relationship building and wisdom.
Thank you for your faithfulness and willingness to forgive my many failures.
Thank you for your love and support, through sickness and trials.
Thank you for being you, even when that hurts or is lonely. 
I love you and would not trade our life for the world.
