Thank you to those who have been praying for me \/ us\u2026 Had 2 rhizotomies to the SI joints and a number of facet joint injections yesterday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The pain after general was intense and my legs kept giving out, however today was easier. I won\u2019t know for another few weeks if it will give any short term relief.<\/p>\n
So blessed to have a supportive wife & kids as I recover\u2026and the encourage of our gracious God. Today, I hobbled up to the gate on crutches as someone was picking up a parcel. It was a divine appointment\u2026\u00a0<\/p>\n
I was able to
– :relate to this person who had serious injuries & pain,
– answer some questions, helping them clarify the difference between Jesus, religions and cults
– empathise with a number of painful situations they were facing\u00a0
– interpret a near-death experience they had where they thought they had gone to hell
– share the Gospel & help them understand their sin & heaven \/ hell
– reveal how God had been looking after them their whole life
– pray for him and see God actually awaken them
– give him a Bible that they could understand\u00a0<\/p>\n
They kept commenting that they believed that the whole elaborate story behind why he was here today, must have been God directing things for this very reason.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When God\u2019s timing is right, it\u2019s right. And He can use *whoever* He wishes. Blows me away that here, in this state, feeling completely useless & physically hopeless, right at my gate, He can still use me for the most important and powerful interaction known to man.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And, as always, God was working things both ways: He used this person to encourage & challenge me too.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Please pray for Kris (not their real name), I will be seeing them again at some point and trust that the work God has started, many years before today, He will finish. And He will do some of it through normal, incapable people like you & me.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Lord, thankYou for always being there for us – whether we are aware of it or not. Thank You for using all kinds of people & situations to reach us & get our attention. And thankYou for sending Jesus to pay our fine & set us free.
