{"id":1755,"date":"2023-08-24T00:31:14","date_gmt":"2023-08-23T15:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/203.170.86.202\/wildeden.com.au\/news\/?p=1755"},"modified":"2023-08-24T00:31:14","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T15:31:14","slug":"connect-share-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wildeden.com.au\/news\/soul-food\/tpm-transformation-prayer-ministry-perth-western-australia\/2023\/connect-share-love\/","title":{"rendered":"Connect, Share, Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, being the anniversary of my mother in laws death, we spent some time reflecting on her life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This photo is one of my favourites of her. Battling cancer, walking in uneven sand up from the old caravans were were living in. She had spent the time to come and visit and on the trek back to the car she didn\u2019t miss a trick connecting with one of my younger sons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is such a reminder that life is \u2018just\u2019 a collection of moments where we can spend time and actually connect with others. The clothes, the money, the house, the bills, the food, the wrongs &#8211; non of it really matters. They are all just distractions from what really matters: connecting, sharing, loving.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As always, the Bible nails it:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u201cSo don\u2019t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today\u2019s trouble is enough for today.\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Matthew 6:34 (NLT)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Your children, your spouse, your friends, will hardly remember the worries or concerns that took your attention. What really matters? Make the most of every opportunity: talk, listen, hug, read, play, race, tickle, joke\u2026and if you have the incredible privilege of working or ministering with people you love? Enjoy it!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Right here, right now, in every moment you are with your family or those important to you, you have the opportunity to connect, to share, to love &#8211;\u00a0just the way God intended. And, amazingly, He offers us the same incredible privilege:\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>My heart has heard you say, \u201cCome and talk with me.\u201d<\/em><br \/><em>And my heart responds, \u201cLORD, I am coming.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><em><strong>Psalms 27:8 (NLT)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>God calls us to spend time with Him &#8211; to connect, to share to love.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s very name is about connecting &#8211; He is called the GREAT I AM. Not \u2018I will be\u2019 or \u2018I was\u2019 &#8211; but I AM. Right here right now. In the present.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No matter who you are, what pressures or problems you face, or what wrongs you have done &#8211; Jesus has paid the ultimate price for you. And that payment includes access to God the Father, the King of Heaven! Once your sin is death with, God will be listening to your prayers!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In fact, if you have accepted Jesus\u2019 free gift of life, you become a son of God, a brother of King Jesus!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Time with Him is free, unhindered and incredibly powerful. That is why, when Jesus walked the earth as a human, He continually retreated away fro the crowds to spend time with His Father.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We can too. And from that place, we connect, share and love others too.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cBe sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.\u201d &#8211; Jesus\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Lord, help us to make the most of the precious little time we have with those so special to us. And help us to turn to You to receive Your love, Your grace, Your perspective, Your joy, Your strength. Thank You for who you are!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Notes:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What if you are like me and you find those things difficult? Knowing they are important doesn\u2019t help &#8211; feel.
