So today, a piece of celery (filled with peanut butter of course!) was thrown to someone across the kitchen bench.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It landed face down and someone joked:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMurphy\u2019s Law!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It got laughs all round, then a barrage of people trying to prove it: crackers were tossed into the air, avocado\u2026 well you get the idea!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Murphy\u2019s Law is often boiled down to:\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cIf something can go wrong, it will!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For thinking minds, you know this is crazy! Imagine is\u00a0everything<\/em> that could go wrong did!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Heart attacks, stroke, seizure, fire, pulled muscles\u2026 In everyday situations, millions of things would happen, brakes would fail, planes would crash, houses collapse, fire would destroy. The list is endless in nearly any situation. Life would be demoralising and pointless. In fact, life would cease to exist altogether!\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"What<\/p>\n

The fact that we go on living and millions of things don\u2019t go wrong in every situation is miraculous.<\/p>\n

The Bible describes that although life has hardship, life can be filled with purpose, meaning, significance and love. It tells us what we can see form the fact that Murphy was so wrong: the Creator is a GOOD<\/span> God! The universe is filled with examples of His love, beauty and grace\u2026despite people ignoring God and blaming Him for all bad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Matthew 5:44-45 (NLT)<\/strong> But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

God the Father gives good things to all people: rain and sunlight. Not just random chance or mindless weather systems, but a loving, involved God who cares.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Colossians 1:15-17 (NLT)<\/strong> Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.<\/em>
He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,<\/em>
for through him God created everything<\/em>\u00a0in the heavenly realms and on earth.<\/em>
He made the things we can see<\/em>\u00a0and the things we can\u2019t see\u2014<\/em>
such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.<\/em>
Everything was created through him and for him.<\/em>
He existed before anything else,<\/em>\u00a0and he holds all creation together.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>[emphasis added]<\/p>\n

Here, the very laws of the universe (the physical ones) are described as being controlled and held in place by Jesus. \u00a0The atom, quasars, quarks, gravity, motion\u2026 We are still discovering the laws of the universe and (at least in the Western world), take them for granted. But there is a day coming where all the physical laws of the universe will come to an end\u2026 are you ready?<\/p>\n

Jesus said:<\/p>\n

“Watch out! I have warned you about this ahead of time!<\/em>
\u201cAt that time, after the anguish of those days,<\/em>
the sun will be darkened,<\/em>
the moon will give no light,<\/em>
the stars will fall from the sky,<\/em>
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.<\/em>
Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory. And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world\u2014from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.\u201d\u00a0<\/i>Mark 13:23-27 (NLT)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0This is describing the very laws of \u2018nature\u2019 ceasing to operate. The spiritual laws will still be in place – they do not change. 1<\/a><\/sup>The spiritual laws of the universe go like this:
